It was the first time I’ve actually been confronted by a guard for photography. Apparently photographing the trucks is some grave security risk. The guard said “You can’t photograph here,” since I was on the publicly owned Dawes Avenue I just told the guy it was “Public property” and walked away. He shouted at me to stop but didn’t do anything else. And when I was off what he considered his “territory” I snapped a picture of him, but the crappy autofocus lens messed it up.

This video on Flickr is a stark reminder that storms can still be dangerous. The woman filming the heavy rain gets struck by lighting. Considering this is something I do rather often, I’ll probably be altering my storm watching activities.

If you want to download the iPod Touch 2.0 firmware, Apple has released it. Unfortunately it appears there servers are overwhelmed and not allowing the update to be downloaded. The upgrade costs $10, but it’s not as much a price gouge as January’s update of $20 was. I guess they assume the 30% they skim off application costs will pay the rest.
